The Estalagem Quinta do Monte is situated in a charmingly beautiful and enchanting part of the island of Madeira. Indeed it is located precisely in the religious heart and soul of Madeira: Monte. Monte is a part or suburb of the cosmopolitan city of Funchal - the capital of the Madeira Archipelago - and sits like a belvedere on the top edge of the city amphitheatre overlooking the romantic red tiled roofs and white washed walls of many houses and buildings all the way down to the enormous vastness of the Atlantic ocean.
